Kilian Insurance Service has been a part of the Midwest Insurance community for over 60 years.
We were founded on family, respect, and honesty three pillars that we take pride in still maintaining! We are thankful for the support and trust we’ve received and we hope to continue to have the honor to serve the community and people that inspire us!
Kilian Insurance Service (KIS) is a second-generation independent insurance agency, my parents John & Patricia Kilian started in 1956!
What we were built on:
Family: My Dad, John is a WWII Navy Veteran and Marquette University Graduate. Post service and graduation, he began running the Insurance Department for a local Chevrolet dealer. My Mom, Patricia is a retired RN/Surgical Nurse and a licensed insurance agent. Together, John & Patricia took a chance and ventured out on their own and started KIS in 1956! Eventually, when building their first home, they included a home office for KIS, it’s still located there today! Rule #1 in our home growing up – NEVER interrupt Mom or Dad when they are on the phone in the office!
Respect: I began working in the agency full time after graduating from the University of Denver, and I haven’t looked back! In 1992, I purchased the agency and am proud to have the opportunity to continue the dream and legacy started by my parents 61 years ago. It’s been such an amazing experience to get to know so many of our clients and their families – assist them and be their trusted insurance advisor over the years. Many of our clients have been part of the KIS Family for generations!
Honesty: As Independent Agents, we take great pride in the service we provide and the multiple companies that we represent to ensure we get you the best rate and best service. Since 1956 we have been assisting our customers understand their coverage, options available and to know we are there to provide the very best insurance service.
